January 23, 2024 Executive Director: Housing (Officer) Key decision Approved View on council website
Full council record
Purpose

Repairs and Maintenance require contractor
support to undertake a programme of stack clearance to the
council’s block-based housing stock. They also require a
contractor to undertake general drainage works, including
unblocking toilets, sinks and general drainage from the property.
This will allow Bristol City Council to meet its obligations to
maintain its housing stock in a liveable condition.

Content

Decision is to award to Domestic Drain
Services Ltd following a competitive tender process via Procurement
for Housing’s PFH Responsive Repairs, Voids and Associated
Works DPS (E, W and NI), LOT 5 Specialist Works, Southwest
Region.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - The option of undertaking the work
internally was also considered, but Bristol City Council would not
be able to undertake the recruitment required to deliver this
internally at this time.
