Purpose
Fleet Services have a fully managed parts
service for 5 days a week – 7am-5pm, covering our fleet of
420 vehicles and numerous pieces of plant and equipment (incl;
mower, tractors, strimmer’s, generators, etc.).
Fleet Services Workshop service and maintain all vehicle/plant
assets held by BCC, the spend will ensure that the vehicles/plant
items are supplied with the parts to ensure all maintenance is to
industry standards and are safe for the road.
The current procured contract is due to expire in September 2026.
The council has seen an increase in the cost of parts since the
contract began in 2021 and Fleet Services are seeking a new vehicle
parts and managed stores contract for the vehicle parts supply
going forward which will provide for these increases. This will be
awarded to Fleet Factors Ltd on a call off contract through the
North East Procurement Organisation and the Procurement Partnership
agreement no NEPO201.

fully manage the Fleet Services parts store and supply parts, over
the course of 3 years and 9 months with this contract starting 1st
October 2025.
