Purpose
1. To provide an
overview of plans for upgrading the active travel network across
the city
2. To accept and allocate the associated funding requirements to
implement the delivery plan from the previously allocated Strategic
Community Infrastructure Levy (SCIL) funding following approval
from Full Council in 2022/23.
Content
That the Committee for Transport and
Connectivity:
1. Approved the identification and allocation
of £1,400,000 for the Active Travel Network Audit and
Improvements from the previously allocated SCIL funding following a
2022/23 Full Council approved capital budget amendment.
2. Authorised the Executive Director Growth
and Regeneration in consultation with the Chair of the Transport
and Connectivity Committee to take all steps required to spend the
funding (including procuring and awarding contracts over the key
decision threshold) to deliver the programme as set out in this
report.
3. Authorised the Executive Director in
discussion with the Transport and Connectivity Committee chair to
adjust allocation amounts within the overall budget envelope.
