Purpose

To seek approval to run a tender process to
replace the current agreement for MS Desktop Licensing which comes
to an end in June 2026. The report will cover existing M365
licensing and may be expanded to include MS Copilot licensing as
well, which would increase the financial value.

The Committee
RESOLVED:
 
1. (unanimous vote in
favour)  To
Authorise the Director: Policy, Strategy and Digital in
consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee
to procure and award a 3-year Microsoft Desktop Licensing contract,
in line with the procurement routes and maximum budget envelopes
outlined in this report.
 
2. (unanimous vote in
favour)  and
Authorises the Director: Policy, Strategy and Digital to invoke any
subsequent variations specifically defined in the contract being
awarded, up to the maximum budget envelope outlined in this
report.
