Purpose
To inform the committee of the
contribution which the council has made to improving nature in the
city through its delivery of the Bristol City Council Ecological
Emergency Action Plan 2022-25.
To seek approval for the updated
Ecological Emergency Action Plan 2026 – 2028 to continue

It was RESOLVED that the
Committee for Environment & Sustainability:
1.
Noted the contribution which the council has made to
improving nature in the city through its delivery of the Bristol
City Council Ecological Emergency Action Plan 2021-25.
2.
(Unanimously FOR) Approved the adoption and publication of
the Bristol City Council Ecological Emergency Action Plan 2026-28
to continue and accelerate improvements in nature in
Bristol
3.
(Unanimously FOR) Approved the development and trialling of
a green space permit scheme as part of the Nature Together
project.
4.
(Unanimously FOR) Approved future updates to the action plan
from relevant approved strategies and work programmes including the
inclusion of actions arising from the Blue-Green Infrastructure
Strategy.
