Purpose
In September 2022, Bristol City Council were
successful with a bid for WECA funding. The council were awarded a
grant of £480,000 from the Green Recovery Fund – Nature
Recovery, to install 700 square metres of floating ecosystems at
Capricorn Quay in Bristol Floating Harbour. The floating ecosystems
will improve water quality and provide habitats for fish and
wildlife.
As a result of a competitive tender process, Biomatrix Water were
the successful bidder to supply, install and maintain floating
ecosystems.

Approval to the entering into a contract
agreement with Biomatrix Water for the supply, installation and
four years maintenance of 700 square metres of floating ecosystems
at Capricorn Quay in Bristol Floating Harbour.
