Removal and Storage of Illegally Parked Vehicles
June 18, 2024 Executive Director: Growth and Regeneration (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Currently Bristol City Council has various
arrangements in place (with the same supplier) for the removal and
storage of illegally parked vehicles. In order to streamline these
arrangements it is necessary to merge three of them into one
directly awarded contract covering Bristol City Council’s
Parking Services, Estate Management and Harbour Estate teams. This
will enable the council to continue effective management of
vehicles both on the highway and its own land, removing vehicles
that are unauthorised and/or causing an obstruction. There is
another arrangement covering the Council’s Highways
Maintenance team, however, for procurement and legal reasons
concerning the contract category it is not possible to incorporate
it into the proposed contract.
