Purpose
In March 2024 The Department for Homes,
Levelling Up and Communities (DHLUC) launched the Local Authority
Housing Fund round 3. Bristol City Council (BCC) had an indicative
Grant allocation of £7.3m and was invited to submit an
expression of interest (EOI).
BCC submitted an EOI with the confirmation and wish to fully
utilise the offer from DLUHC for LAHF 3 and completed the online
validation offer form as follows:
Indicative proposed Grant Allocation of Capital -
£7,278,600
Content
To approve the acceptance of the LAHF 3 grant
offer of £7.3m for the provision of 45 Houses over two years
for Temporary Accommodation and Refugee resettlement by signing the
MOU with DLUHC.
Alternative options considered
Option 1 - Not accept the offer of funding
through LAHF3: This is not an option as BCC has an ambition to
create more affordable homes. This initiative contributes to the
Affordable Homes Target and TA Savings. Do nothing is counter to
BCC policies.
