To recommend the Strategy to Full
Council

The Council was required to
approve its Capital & Investment Strategy on an annual basis.
The Capital & Investment Strategy provided the framework within
which to deliver the Council’s Corporate Plan objectives
through the effective investment of its limited capital
resources.  As well as the Councils
immediate statutory responsibilities, the strategy also reflected
the important role that it had to play in the regeneration and
growth, affordable housing and climate change agendas, especially
in the context of significant housing growth in the
area.
 
The draft Capital &
Investment Strategy was included at Appendix 1 of the
report.
 
RESOLVED that the Capital & Investment Strategy attached at
Appendix 1 of the report be AGREED and RECOMMENDED to Full Council
for approval.
