Assignment of Long Leasehold of 2-3 High Street, High Wycombe,

Reasons for the decision

The property is currently vacant and the tenant has been unable to sublet the property. The
terms of the proposed assignment are in line with the market. The proposed letting will
continue to generate a revenue to support delivery of the Council’s services and meeting the
Council’s obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.

Alternative options considered

Under the terms of the lease, the Council
cannot oppose the assignment if reasonable, and the long leasehold has been sold at
Auction on good commercial terms and there are no outstanding issues on the current lease.
