To endorse the Director of Public Health
Annual Report.

Content

Each year every Director of
Public Health in England must produce a statutory annual report on
the health of their population. The Buckinghamshire Director of
Public Health Annual Report (DPHAR) 2025 focussed on the theme of
“Tomorrow’s health and wellbeing”. This theme was
selected in light of population changes
in Buckinghamshire, both due to the population aging and new
housing, plus the significant health challenges impacting local
services and productivity. It explored how the health and wellbeing
of Buckinghamshire residents would change in the next 20 years. The
impact of health inequalities and their link to the building blocks
of health demonstrate the importance of targeting collective effort
to areas and communities with the greatest need and the most to
gain. The recommendations from the report were broad and did not
just sit with Buckinghamshire Council, but required the input of
several different organisations, often working together in
partnership.
 
RESOLVED that the report be endorsed and published.
