Decision

In accordance with the Cabinet Decision dated 10th September 2024 and pursuant to the delegations contained therein to grant permission to complete the disposal of the site known as the King George V House, Amersham. It is now noted that the purchasers intend to demolish the existing building and redevelop the site for housing to include policy compliant levels of affordable housing.

Reasons for the decision

Commercial Property & Regeneration have been asked to seek options for the sale of the surplus site known as King George V House in Amersham. This option realises the Council’s statutory obligations to achieve best consideration from surplus assets while offering comfort that the buyers intend to deliver affordable housing on the site.
