An amendment
The fees for Bulky waste collection are
changed to introduce a new discounted multi-item charge of
£50 for up to three items, with additional items
being charged at £10 each. The charge for corner sofas will
be reduced to £40.
And
a) that the Council approves the net revenue
budget amount of £25,840,000 for 2026/27
b)that the
Council approves a Council Tax for Band D of £254.43 for
2026/27, an increase of 2.99% when compared with 2025/26 (as
amended)
c) that the Council approves the Financial
Plan for 2026/27 to 2028/29 set out in Appendix 1 as the basis for
the budget in each of those years with the projected Council Tax
increase being limited to not more than 2.99% each
year
d) that the fees and charges set out in
Appendix 4 be approved
e) that the reserves set out in Appendix 5 be
approved
f) that authority be given to incur
expenditure on schemes brought into the capital programme since the
Council meeting in February 2025 for 2026/27 set out in Appendix
2
g) that, subject to any alterations necessary,
the draft capital programme set out in Appendix 2 be adopted as the
basis for planning the approved capital budget
h) that authority be given to the Joint Chief
Executives and Directors to incur expenditure and otherwise
exercise the powers delegated to them in the
Constitution in order
to implement the Capital Programme
i) that for the
cost recovery fees and charges (highlighted in amber in Appendix
4), officers are able
to further increase or decrease charges during the year
by up to 5% if costs vary, in consultation with the Chair of
Cabinet
j) The S151 officer, in consultation with the
Portfolio Holder for Finance, can draw down up to £500,000
from the budget stabilisation reserve to enable the effective and
efficient delivery of works required to deliver the
government's devolution and local government reorganisation
agenda.
