About
The Licensing Acts Committee is responsible for overseeing all matters related to the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 within Cherwell. This includes regulating the sale and supply of alcohol, entertainment provision, and late-night refreshment, as well as controlling and licensing gambling activities such as gaming, betting, and lotteries. The committee exercises licensing authority functions, except for the approval of the Statement of Licensing Policy and Gambling Statement of Principles, which are reserved for the full Council.
