Purpose
To enable
the completion of the Mill Street Corridor scheme which
will provide an improved pedestrian and cycleway
linking Crewe Railway Station to Crewe Town Centre, making it more
cyclist and pedestrian friendly. Most of
the Mill Street Corridor project is proposed to be constructed within land either
owned by the Council or within the extent of adopted public
highway. However, there are two sections of land within private
ownership which require acquisition. These being Property A which
extends to 0.42 acres of land immediately adjacent to The Dorothy
Flude Retail Park and Property B which extends to 0.194 acres of
land fronting Mill Street.

To seek approval to purchase Land at Mill Street,
Crewe (edged red on Plan 1 and Plan 2) and to enter into any
ancillary agreements in connection to the acquisition or use of
said land on terms and conditions to be agreed by the Head of
Estates and the Director of Governance & Compliance.
