Purpose

The latest cost estimates for
the Macclesfield Indoor Market refurbishment project have
significantly exceed those originally obtained. The project has
been value engineered but despite this, the estimated costs of the
project still exceed the current budget.

A solution to the increase in
project cost estimates has been identified without additional cost
to the Council. This would involve reducing the scope of the
Macc on Foot public realm project,
which was designed to be scalable, and viring £243,000 of funds from that project to
cover the shortfall in the Macclesfield Indoor Market Refurbishment
project.

Market Refurbishment Project (CAP-10478) and increase/decrease in

Capital Programme.
