Purpose

In December 2024 the UK government confirmed
further Core UKSPF allocations to be awarded to lead authorities in
25/26 as a ‘transition’ year, until an alternative
funding framework is established. 
 
On 4th March 2025
the Council received a signed Memorandum of Understanding relating
to the Cheshire East allocation of transition year
UKSPF.  The Council is required to sign
and return this to MHCLG to secure the funding
allocated.

To accept and sign the UKSPF
Memorandum of Understanding supplied by the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) for core UKSPF, noting
that a separate Memorandum of Understanding for Rural SPF will
follow after allocations have been announced.
