Purpose

Section 21 of the Town Police
Clauses Act 1847 provides the power to make orders preventing the
obstruction of streets “in all times of public processions,
rejoicings, or illuminations, and in any case when the streets are
thronged or liable to be obstructed.”
 
The decision will enable the
annual Four Oaks Tradeshow to take place in a safe manner and to
enable the police and authorised marshals to manage the
event.

To make a temporary road
closure order in relation to Farm Lane, Lower Withington under
section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 to close streets
listed in the Schedule to the order to enable the Four Oaks
Tradeshow to take place on Tuesday 2nd September
2025 between 08:30-19:00.
