Purpose

Section 21 of the Town Police
Clauses Act 1847 provides the power to make orders preventing the
obstruction of streets “in all times of public processions,
rejoicings, or illuminations, and in any case when the streets are
thronged or liable to be obstructed.”
 
The decision will enable the
annual Wilmslow Live 2025 to take place in a safe manner and to
enable the police and authorised marshals to manage the
event.

make a temporary road closure order in relation to the below
mentioned roads under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act
1847 to close streets listed in the Schedule to the order to enable
the Wilmslow Live 2025 to take place on Saturday 21 June
2025.
