Purpose

Being satisfied that traffic
should be prohibited to facilitate works, to give public notice of
and make a temporary road closure order under s14 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling
powers to prohibit traffic on the below mentioned roads within
Cheshire East for a period of 18 months or until the works have
been completed, whichever is the sooner.
 
Moss
Lane, Macclesfield
From the side of House No1 to
the junction of The Roaches.
 
Flying Fields Drive, Macclesfield
At the junction of Moss
Lane.
 

For Low Voltage repair works to
be carried out by Electricity North West it is necessary to close
the above-mentioned roads in Cheshire East.
 
The alternative
route will be via Congleton Road, Park
Lane, Park Lane Roundabout, Park Street, Mill Lane, Cross Street,
London Road, Moss Lane and vice versa which is considered the most
suitable route.
 
It is anticipated that the
works will commence on Monday 28July 2025 and will be completed by
Wednesday 6 August 2025.
