Purpose
To enter a Contract for the purchase of:
•
9 x 12.5T Food Waste RCVs
•
2 x 7.5T Food Waste RCVs
As part of the Council’s new statutory
duty though the simpler recycling legislation to provide a weekly
food waste collection to all properties.
The
Food Waste RCVs will be purchased outright and funded by existing
capital budgets.
The
procurement followed the Direct Award process as defined within The
Procurement Partnership (TPPL) framework agreement for the Purchase
of HGV, Specialist Vehicles, & Waste Supplies: Lot 5 -
Specialist Vehicle Conversions up to 44T (2024/S 000-026689). The
process for the direct award included objective criteria which
ranked pre-registered suppliers in accordance with original
evaluation criteria used in the formation of the framework
agreement.
Purchase is funded through new
burdens simpler recycling grant capital funding of XXX from the
Fleet Electric Vehicle transition project budget to ensure best
value though reduced operating costs and delivery of the Cheshire
East Plan Commitment Unlocking Prosperity for all.
