Purpose

Being satisfied that traffic should be
prohibited to facilitate works, to give public notice of and make a
temporary road closure order under s14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers to
prohibit traffic on Macclesfield Road, Holmes Chapel from the
junction of London Road to the Junction of The Mews for a period of
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the
sooner.
