*RESOLVED

 

1.  
That the update on the Long Term Plan for Towns
programme set out at paragraphs 4.1 to 4.4 of the officer’s
report be noted.
 

2.  
That the Council accepts the offer of a further
£200k of capacity funding in 2025-26 to be used in line with
the principles set out in the officer’s report and the
government’s revised prospectus (once issued).
 

3.  
That the establishment of a grade 12 Programme and
Engagement Manager post, funded externally, in order to provide the
capacity needed to engage with partners, develop potential projects
and manage the programme on behalf of the Council be
approved.
 

4.  
That authority be delegated to the Service Director
- Economic Growth in liaison with the Cabinet Member for Economic
Growth to make any final revisions that may be required to the job
description and person specification for the new post.
 

5.  
That the intention to bring a revised vision and
investment plan for the programme to Cabinet once the Town Board
has developed this in line with the revised prospectus (once
issued) and prior to drawing down programme funding from April 2026
be noted.
 
REASON FOR
DECISIONS
 
To enable Chesterfield Borough
Council to continue to support the Chesterfield Town Board and
fulfil its role as the accountable body for the Long Term Plan for
Towns programme.
