*RESOLVED
–
 

1.  
That the receipt of grant funding from East Midlands
Combined County Authority (EMCCA) of £2 million capital to
facilitate the delivery in full of Staveley Town Deal projects (The
Moorings and Barrow Hill Memorial Hall) be approved.
 

2.  
That it be noted that changes will be made to Town
Deal project grant funding agreements in line with the Staveley
Town Deal Assurance Framework.
 
REASONS FOR
DECISIONS
 

1.  
To secure funding to facilitate the effective
completion of two Staveley Town Deal projects that have been
subject to significant value engineering and subsequent scope
reduction following construction price inflation post business case
approval.  The additional grant funding
will ensure that the projects can be completed in line with the
initial scope, securing outputs and outcomes in line with Staveley
Town Deal aspirations.
 

2.  
Council approval is sought to accept the grant
funding from EMCCA at the earliest opportunity so that the projects
can continue to deliver on site and avoid the need for re
procurement of contractors.
