*RESOLVED

 

1.  
That the procurement and installation of Assisted
Lifeguard Technology at Queens Park Sports Centre and the Healthy
Living Centre be approved.
 

2.  
That expenditure of up to £140,000 be approved
to enable the installation of the Assisted Lifeguard Technology at
the two sports centres.
 
REASONS FOR
DECISIONS
 

1.  
To ensure ongoing compliance with HSG 179 –
Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pools and maintain safe
levels of supervision across both sports centre sites.
 

2.  
To support the delivery of efficient and effective
pool programmes and contribute to operational improvements that
will sustain income performance in support of the Medium-Term
Financial Plan.
 

3.  
To positively contribute to effective and efficient
sports centre operations, enhance and protect the Council’s
reputation, strengthen customer confidence, and enable more
flexible programming at both centres.
