That the forecast outturn position of the General Fund Revenue
Account for the financial year 2024/25 be noted.
 

2.  
That the strategy for achieving a managed underspend General Fund
Revenue Account budget outturn position for the financial year
2024/25 be supported.
 

3.  
That the General Fund Capital Programme expenditure forecast for
the financial year 2024/25 be noted.
 

4.  
That the position of the Housing Revenue Account and Capital
budgets at the close of month five of the financial year 2024/25 be
noted.
 

5.  
That the emerging Medium-Term Financial Plan forecast positions for
both the General Fund Revenue Account and the Housing Revenue
Account for the period 2025/26 to 2028/29 be noted.
 
REASONS FOR
DECISIONS
 

1.  
This periodic monitoring report summarises the
current assessment of the Council’s forecast outturn position
for the financial year 2024/25 in relation to the General Fund
Revenue Account and sets out the active management mitigations
being progressed to balance the 2024/25 budget. It also provides a
robust basis for medium term financial planning.
 

2.  
The report also provides updates on the current
status of the General Fund Capital Programme, the Housing Revenue
Account (HRA) and the HRA Capital Programme.
 

3.  
This is the second formal monitoring report for the
2024/25 financial year.
