RESOLVED:

That Cabinet

1.
That the Leader of the Council submits the Business Case
‘Shaping West Sussex’ to Government.

2.
The Leader of the Council writes to the Secretary of State for
Housing, Communities and Local Government setting out its support
for option B2 in the Business Case.

3.
That authority is delegated to the Chief Executive, in consultation
with the Leader of the Council, to make any minor non-material
corrections to the Business Case.

Due to the need for this matter
to be determined as soon as possible the Cabinet has secured
agreement from the Chairman of the Council for this key decision to
be taken urgently (Part 4, Section 4.5, Standing Order 36) so that
the submission can be made to government within the deadline, as
the delay of waiting for the call-in period to elapse would
prejudice the District Council’s interests.
