Purpose

To consider Article 4 Directions for
Fishbourne, Selsey and Old Selsey Conservation Areas and minor
alterations to Conservation Areas Appraisals

Content

RESOLVED
 
1.   
That the updated Character Appraisals for Old
Selsey, Fishbourne and Selsey Conservation Areas, attached at
Appendix 1, 2 and 3 to this report, be approved as a material
consideration in relevant planning decisions.
2.   
That the implementation of a
“non-immediate” Article 4 direction to cover;
alterations to dwellings and works within their curtilage,
including boundary treatments and hard standing as set out in
Appendix 4 to this report, where those alterations front a relevant
location within the Old Selsey Conservation Area be
approved.
3.   
That the decision to consult upon, confirm and
implement the Direction referred to in recommendation 1.3 of the
report be taken by the Director of Planning and Environment
following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and
relevant ward members within six months of the Direction being
made.
