Purpose

A policy outlining the use of commuted sums
and seeking to create an affordable housing grant fund for use in
retaining and bringing forward affordable homes in the
district

Content

Recommendations to Council:

a) The adoption of the Affordable Housing Grant Policy at Appendix
1.
 
b) To repurpose all underspends from the Acquisition
Project (as outlined in Part II) of the Cabinet report dated 3
September 2024, estimated to be in the region of £500,000,
for the delivery of affordable housing as outlined in the
policy.
 
c) That the Director of Housing & Communities is
given delegated powers, in consultation with the Cabinet Portfolio
Holder for Housing, Revenues & Benefits, to make minor
amendments to the policy.
