Statement, the Treasury Management Strategy Statement, the
Investment Strategy and relevant indicators for 2026-27

RESOLVED
 
That the Cabinet
approves the additional paragraphs to be added to the Treasury
Management Policy Statement, which was approved by the Corporate
Governance and Audit Committee at its meeting 19 January 2026.
 
“The Council
should report their treasury management indicators as detailed in
the sector specific guidance notes; these are set out in an
appendix to the Treasury Management Strategy Statement for the
Prudential Indicators and Treasury Management Indicators of this
report for the forthcoming year and will be reported for the
outturn in the July after the year end.
 
Although The
Prudential Code requires the Prudential Indicators are reported
quarterly, the Council considers that its Outturn report and the
Half Yearly report provide sufficient information as required by
the Code and present the Council’s current debt free
position.”
 
RECOMMENDATION TO
COUNCIL
 
That the Cabinet
considers the Council’s draft Treasury Management and
Investment Strategy 2026-27 and recommends it to the Council for
approval.
