Purpose

Solar Together is a route for the public to
buy solar panels and is supported by local authorities in West
Sussex. The current arrangement is ending. The report will concern
whether participation in a new arrangement is
recommended.

RESOLVED
 
That
Cabinet:
 
(a)
Approve in principle the Council’s continued participation in
a multiauthority partnership to support residents who want to
install PV panels and other retrofit measures, including Heat Pumps
if possible, in their homes;
 
(b)
Delegate authority to the Divisional Manager, Environment and
Health Protection to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the
participating local authorities and to conclude a new
Inter-Authority Agreement if the terms offered are acceptable to
the Authority.
