*RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL
 
That Cabinet recommends to Council:

2.1.1 A total budget of £814,000 be approved and allocated to
the project using existing District Council funds. Being
£440,000 from the Asset Replacement Programme, and
£374,000 from General Fund Reserves.

2.1.2 The total budget to be increased if partnership funding is
secured to supplement the District Council funding at
2.1.1.
 
That Cabinet resolves:
 
2.2.1 To delegate authority to the Director of
Corporate Services and Divisional Manager for CCS to engage with
the City Council on opportunities to collaborate and enhance play
area provision.
 
2.2.2 Approval to commence consultation and
procurement via appropriate and constitutionally compliant
routes.

2.2.3 A further report be brought back to Cabinet to agree the
final scheme and award of contract, or contacts, once the
procurement and negotiations with the Chichester City Council have
been concluded.
