Reasons for
recommendation
Following negotiations between the parties the
proposed terms have been provisionally agreed and reflect current
market conditions within the Market Walk Centre in line with other
lease settlements which have recently been agreed/completed.
 
Other Options
considered and rejected
Not agreeing terms for renewal which would
mean the unit being vacated and the loss of the current income.
 
Costs would be incurred in advertising the
vacant unit and liability for the cost of securing and maintaining
the unit in the meantime would rest with the Council as well as the
business rates liability.
