To ensure continued provision of a specialist
skillset and strategic support services on major project
delivery.
 
To ensure progress is maintained on the
delivery of the Town Centre improvements and Civic Square Project
which will look to ensure delivery of scheme in line with programme
and de-risk from any funding clawback.
 
Other options
considered and rejected
To not appoint a ‘Development and
Management consultant’.  This
option has been rejected as this would not allow for the specialist
skillset provision and resource required to support the delivery of
the project.
 
To appoint an alternative
consultant.  This option has been
rejected as this would impact on the delivery of the scheme and
challenging programme which would impact on potential funding.
