recommendations
1.
Based on the evaluation criteria awarding to Chorley Group provides
the best option for the council.
2.
Chorley Group are well equipped to supply and maintain the fleet
therefore provide resilience for service delivery.
Other options
considered and rejected
1.
Not replacing the small van fleet at all will impact on service
delivery across multiple services.
2.
Extending the lease on the current small van fleet for a prolonged
duration may lead to increased downtime as the older vehicles are
less reliable.
3.
Procuring diesel or petrol vans, instead of electric, will increase
the fleet carbon emissions.
