To ensure provision of programme management resource
to support the delivery of major projects and ensure strategic
alignment in line with both corporate and agreed project
objectives.

To support with strategic project programming and
planning to ensure projects are assessed and designed to be
delivered successfully.

To support with the development of a cohesive and
consistent decision-making strategy to increase efficiencies in the
delivery of major capital projects.

 

Other options considered and rejected

To not appoint a Development & Programme
Management Consultant – This has been rejected as this would
not allow for the specialist technical resource gap to be
provisioned to support the delivery of major projects and manage
the associated risks with this to the Council.
