Reasons for
recommendations
The proposals aim to develop greater
resilience and management capacity within the service by creating
shared manager roles and a shared administrative and contract
management support team across the councils. This will help to
enable efficiencies for the service and reduce duplication by
aligning work such as procurement exercises, service transformation
and other management tasks.  
 
Other options
considered and rejected
To not develop a shared Streetscene and Waste
management structure. This option has been rejected as it would not
support increased resilience and efficiencies for the
service.
