Reasons for
recommendations
Car park inspections have highlighted
significant trip hazards at both St Marys and West Street car parks. Both car parks have been asset by
a civil engineer and the above works have been proposed.
 
In the current position, should someone trip
in one of the aforementioned car parks
the Council would be liable for a claim.
 
Other options
considered and rejected
Isolated patch repairs have
been undertaken in the past, however,
these only temporally fix the problem. This option is no longer
seen as economically viable.
