Purpose

As
agreed by Cabinet in July 2024, Cornwall’s Good Growth Plan
has been reviewed to ensure alignment with new national policy and
the reviewed Good Growth Plan is coming to the Growth Board for
approval.

Content

It
was moved by Councillor Taylor, seconded by Councillor Mould,
and
 
RESOLVED:
 
1. 
That the updated Cornwall Good Growth Plan, as
outlined in the report and in appendix 1 to the report, be
approved.
2. 
That the performance framework suggested for the
Cornwall Good Growth Plan, as outlined in appendix 2 to the report,
be approved and that the performance of the Cornwall Good Growth
Plan will be reviewed not less than annually by the Cornwall Growth
Board.
3. 
That the principles set out at paragraph 2.9 to 2.18
be endorsed for the delivery of business support, sector
development and inward investment to ensure that activity delivered
and commissioned by Cornwall Council including through the Shared
Prosperity Fund (SPF) year 4 funding pivots delivery towards the
vision for our local economy outlined in the Cornwall Good Growth
Plan.
4. 
That the Cornwall Events Strategy, action plan as
outlined in appendices 3 and 4 to the report, which has been
developed as a part of the implementation of the Good Growth Plan,
be approved.
