It was moved by Councillor Donnithorne,
seconded by Councillor Gow and
 
RESOLVED that
 
1. 
 Following the Committee’s
mid-year review of its Work Programme, the updated version, as set
out in Appendix 1 of the report be approved subject to the
following additions:
 
(a) 
Cornwall Council Road Safety Strategy Refresh to be considered by
the Committee at its formal meeting on 3 March 2026.
(b) 
Regular briefings provided on Visit Cornwall to provide assurance
to the Committee on progress.
(c) 
Committee briefing on the Local Plan (theme viability) to be
scheduled for the 15 December 2025.
 
2. 
In accordance with the Overview and Scrutiny Protocol, amendments
to the Committee Work Programme be determined by the Chairman of
the Committee, in consultation with the Vice Chairman, the Senior
Responsible Officer and the Democratic Services Lead, with changes
to be given effect by the Senior Responsible Officer and the
Committee to be noted as soon as any changes are approved.
 
Action:
 
To circulate a work programme suggestion form
to Cllrs Channon and Cllr Gibbons to enable them to set out reasons
and outcomes for adding Visit Cornwall to its work programme as a
formal report for debate.
