RESOLVED:
 
1. 
That the Scrutiny Committee considers and provides
feedback on the Resources and Waste Strategy Delivery Plan, as set
out in Appendix 1 of this report as shown within the minutes,
and;
2. 
That Committee welcomes the Litter Action Plan as
part of the Resources and Waste Strategy Delivery Plan and notes
that Full Council unanimously voted to adopt the Keep Cornwall
Clean motion at the meeting of 16 September. Committee requests
that the council and partners continue to align measures included
in the Keep Cornwall Clean motion closely with the Litter Action
Plan going forward.
 
RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND TO CABINET:
 
1. 
That the Resources and Waste Strategy Delivery Plan,
set out in Appendix 1 of the report, be approved.
2. 
That the booking system implemented at 7 of the 14
Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRCs) on a trial basis, is
made permanent (in consultation with the appropriate local area
Members) and that delegated authority be given to the Service
Director for Regulatory Services in consultation with the Portfolio
Holder for Environment and Climate Change and appropriate local
local area Members, to expand the booking system to additional
HWRCs where need is demonstrated, and where appropriate local
stakeholder engagement is undertaken.
