Cornwall Council resolved on 21/04/2026 to note issues of deprivation in Cornwall and condemn the failure of the government's 'Pride in Place' programme to allocate funding to the region. The Council mandated the Leader to write to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government requesting publication of rural proofing assessments, a review of regeneration funding, establishment of a bespoke funding scheme for Cornwall, and reform of resource-allocation formulas. Cornwall Council will also engage with the LGA to advise government on neighbourhood investment.
