It was moved by Councillor Conway, seconded by
Councillor J Thomas, and
 
RESOLVED that:
 
1. 
The amendments to the supporting document ‘Guidance for
Members and Officers Dealing with Planning Matters’ be
approved;
2. 
The amendments to the supporting document ‘Protocol for
Planning Procedures’ be approved; and
3. 
The implementation date for the proposed amendments set out in
recommendations 1 and 2 above be 1 April 2024.
 
It was also RESOLVED that it
be RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL that:
 
1. 
The amendments to the ‘Responsibility for Functions’
section of the Constitution be approved;
2. 
‘Article 11 – Planning Committees’ should remain
as is (in that the Membership should remain at 11 and the Quorum
should remain at 3) with the exception of the removal of the
reference to meetings having to be concluded by 10.30pm;
3. 
The implementation date for the proposed amendments set out above
be 1 October 2024.
 
It was also noted that there were several
typographical errors that needed to be corrected.
