Purpose

The
report will set out the recommendations of the Local Government
Association’s Peer Review on the Council’s Care and
Wellbeing Directorate.  The report will
also set out how that Directorate will ensure that learning from
that Peer Review will become embedded within the Council’s
programmed activity and actions implemented.

DECISION:

 

RESOLVED:
 
1. 
That the recommendations of the LGA Peer Review
team, as set out in Appendix 1 to the report, be acknowledged.

2. 
That the action plan, as set out in Appendix 2 to
the report, arising from the LGA Peer Challenge be approved and
that implementation of the actions be delegated to the Strategic
Director for Care and Wellbeing, in consultation with the Portfolio
Holder for Adult Social Care and Health, the Section 151 Officer
and the Monitoring Officer, who will report progress to appropriate
committees.
