Following the annual refresh of the Strategy (including a review
by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Scrutiny Inquiry Panel and
also consideration by that Committee), the revised Strategy will be
submitted to Cabinet for approval.

endorsement will also be sought in respect of the Public Sector
Equality Duty.

RESOLVED:
 
1. 
That the Council’s statutory Public Sector
Equality Duty Return for 2023, as set out in Appendix 1 to the
report, evidencing our compliance in respect of the legal duty and
progress over the last 12 months in delivering the Equality,
Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022-2026, be endorsed.
 
2. 
That the refreshed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Strategy 2022-2026, as set out in Appendix 2 to the report, be
approved as the Council’s ongoing framework for tackling
inequality in Cornwall.
