It was
moved by Councillor German and seconded by Councillor Barnes that
it be recommended to Cabinet
1.
That the proposed release of Dolcoath Offices, Camborne from the operational
estate as a core back office not be implemented.
2.
That a further meeting off the Committee be convened
in order that it be presented with greater information on the plans
for service delivery from the Council’s Service Hubs prior to
presentation to Cabinet for approval on 19 July 2023.
On a
vote, there was four votes in favour, five against and two
abstentions and the proposal was lost.

that
RESOLVED:
1.
That a further meeting off the Committee be convened
in order that it be presented with greater information on the plans
for service delivery from the Council’s Service Hubs prior to
presentation to Cabinet for approval on 19 July 2023.
RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND TO CABINET:
1.
That progress on the Estate Transformation
Programme, as set out in the report, be continued.
2.
That the proposed release of the Dolcoath Offices, Camborne from the operational
estate as a core back office and implementation of an alternative
accommodation plan for the town, as described in the report, be
approved in principle, subject to the development and approval of a
detailed business case that covers both the closure of Camborne and
the provision of alternative accommodation, such approval to be by
the Strategic Director for Sustainable Growth and
Development.
3.
That authority be delegated to the Programme Senior
Responsible Officer (Strategic Director for Sustainable Growth and
Development) to amend programme projects as necessary, within the
overall approved funding envelope and approved policy context, in
consultation with the Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for
Resources.
On a
vote, there was six votes in favour, four against and one
abstentions.
