Clemens, seconded by Councillor Ewert and
 
RESOLVED
that
 
(i) 
The outcomes of the recent LA Send Inspection led by
Ofsted and CQC be noted and that
Cabinet be recommended to endorse the SEND Transition Action
Plan and ongoing monitoring arrangements.
(ii) 
The Portfolio Holder for Transport together with
appropriate officers provide an “in person” update to
the Committee on home to school transport and its governing rules
prior to any changes being put before Cabinet and for the Economic
Growth & Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee to
consider including a review of the Home to School Policy on its
future work programme. 
 
Actions:
 
· 
For a draft letter to be forwarded to the Committee
setting out standard wording for circulation to local MPs on
inadequate funding for children and families.
· 
Clarification to be forwarded to Cllr Thomas on the
number of post 16 young people (SEND) who progress into higher
education/university.
