1 public question: Mr Hewlett, Newquay
Question: read as set out.
Answer:
The
amount stated was not entirely to the farm shed but also included
demolition, associated groundwork and services connection
costs. Corserv were invited to
tender. Consultants advised pre tender
that an estimate for the work would be expected at circ £179k. This
included understanding of constraints relating to topography and
surface drainage. Corserv returned a
price which reflected the market conditions post covid and the tender was accepted. External consultants advised that the cost was
value for money.
Mr
Hewlett asked a supplementary question as follows:
Why did
you need to employ a consultant firm in Truro when Corserv were
doing the job?
The
following answer was provided: Consultants were used to ensure
value for money.
