Purpose
Report
on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Strategy for Cornwall. The purpose of the project is to produce a Gypsy,
Roma and Traveller Strategy for Cornwall. There is a need to deliver a Gypsy, Roma and
Traveller Strategy for Cornwall that sets out how access to housing
and services to this cohort can be strengthened. Cornwall Council has a statutory responsibility to
ensure that this protected group and protected race of people are
allocated sufficient land to meet their housing and living
needs.

RESOLVED:
1.
That the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Strategy, as set
out in appendix 2 to the report, be approved.
2.
That, following the receipt of new pertinent data,
the Strategy be updated as appropriate.
