Councillor Hodgkinson asked the
Parking Projects and Contracts Officer to clarify the relationship
between Cotswold District Council and the Feoffees. It was confirmed that the Feoffees, a Tetbury-based charity, own the car park, while
Cotswold District Council manages it. The Feoffees use funds from the car park’s
pay-and-display machines to support local projects, including
schools, charities, and sports clubs. They had not raised charges
for years but felt the cost-of-living crisis justified an increase.
It was also clarified that the fee increase was separate from the
Council’s own car park charges.
